Cancellation Policy

Cancellation of a property rental must be in writing. We will put the rental back on the market and always make an extensive effort to rebook with another client.

Cancellation 31+ days prior to rental date

If the Vacationer cancels 31 days or more prior to the reservation start date AND Haliburton Cottage Rentals is not able to re-rent the cottage for the same dates (or more), the Vacationer will forfeit one-third of the full rental amount plus a 10% processing fee.

If when the property is returned to the rental market and subsequently rented for the same amount as in the original Vacationer Agreement, Haliburton Cottage Rentals will refund the deposit, less a 10% booking fee.

Cancellation 30 days or less prior to rental date

If the Vacationer cancels 30 days or less prior to the reservation start date AND Haliburton Cottage Rentals is not able to re-rent the cottage for the same dates (or more), the Vacationer will forfeit the full rental fee.

Review for Perfection on Percy

Our group of 10 family members chose Perfection on Percy from the Haliburton Cottage Rentals website and it did not disappoint. We rent a few vacation homes per year and this is our 2nd summer choosing an option from HCR. First off, HCR is a reliable and trustworthy rental agency that we feel comfortable working with. The staff is accommodating and available if anything is needed. Any questions or clarifications are answered quickly, before, during, and after our stay. HCR is a “go to first” for me when looking to select a vacation home holiday in one of our favourite areas, Haliburton Highlands and surrounding area.

Perfection on Percy is a newly built lakefront home that suited our group of ten really well. There is lots of space to spread out to enjoy some quiet time or converge for fun and games as a group. The home is absolutely stunning in its finishings and design. You cant help but feel relaxed and mesmerized by this place and it’s views. Just to sit and have early morning coffee in the great room in front of the floor to ceiling windows was an amazing way to start the day.
The screened in space (it’s too large to call it a room!) is really exceptional and something we have never had to that extent. It is a go to hang out space for games, dinner, or evening cocktails while the sun is going down. Really a unique feature! There is a private loft space above the garage with a king bed, kitchenette, lounge area, full bath and a balcony. Really nice place that I was fortunate enough to have for my wife & I as our sleeping quarters for the week. Features like having use of the garage to store things not needed every day along with garbage and recycling was a bonus as well as the paved section of driveway as you approach the home for parking and tracking in debris.

Outside and lakeside is very peaceful and a huge draw for us when it came to making our choice of properties. The deck off of the home is another great hang out spot and has terrific views (everywhere does). The property is a huge point lot with complete privacy. Our little dog Gus, who is used to being leashed everywhere we go, had an absolute ball being free to run to the lake and back and around the back yard. Lakeside has a few different spots to sit, beach area, shaded patio area, and full sun spacious dock. We utilized each space every day. You cannot see another cottage/home when scanning the shoreline from this property, nothing but trees and water! Weather was terrific and hot so we swam every day. The water is clean and clear, deep off the dock or shallow wade in at the beach. 1 or 2 of us kayaked every day to explore the lake.

This was an exceptional property for our group and we sure hope to return soon, we all miss it and have great memories of our week stay!
